Set up an Account
Create your Prismic account and get oriented with the dashboard.
Setting up your Prismic account is the first step to building content-driven websites and applications. This page walks you through creating your account, understanding the Prismic dashboard, and reviewing pricing options to get you started.
Once you complete these steps, you’ll be ready to build a website with a developer and start managing content.

Complete your profile

Explore the dashboard
When you first log into Prismic, you’ll land on your personal dashboard. This is your command center for managing all your content projects.

The Prismic dashboard where your repositories are listed.
Your dashboard shows you:
- All repositories: A list of repositories you have access to.
- Account settings: Access to your personal account preferences.
- Create a new repository: The starting point for new content projects.
Account vs. repository
It’s important to understand the difference between these two concepts:
- Your Account: This is your personal Prismic account that you just created. One account can maange multiple repositories.
- Repositories: These are individual content projects. Each website typically has its own repository containing all its content, media, and settings.
Think of your account as your Prismic identity, while repositories are the individual projects you’ll work on.
Review pricing
Your Prismic account is always free. Individual repositories are billed based on team size, features, and usage.
This repository-based billing model means you can have multiple projects under one account—some free, some paid—depending on each project’s specific needs. You can upgrade individual repositories as they grow without affecting your other projects.
